Goal – Create an authentic documentary to show jails, churches, and communities what a weekend jail ministry is like and how it can impact the incarcerated.
New Day Residents Encounter Christ (REC) asked us to produce a documentary and promotional video that would allow them show jails, churches, and communities what a weekend jail ministry is like and how it can impact the incarcerated. These tools would then allow them to present this jail ministry program to jails and churches while also using it is a fundraising and volunteer tool in hopes of getting REC in every jail in the state of Indiana.
We worked with Residents Encounter Christ, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, and several churches to produce a documentary and promotional video that would highlight the impact of this weekend jail ministry program. We decided to do a documentary because it would allow the experience to be authentic, it would answer logistical and spiritual questions that people may have, and show how everyone needs Jesus. These tools would then allow REC to promote the program, give churches and volunteers promotional materials to raise funds and get volunteers, and show communities how this program can change lives.
OUR CLIENT'S RESULTS
The documentary has given New Day REC the opportunity to present their program to Indiana’s governor, senator, and president of the Sheriff’s Association. It has given them a tool to show many churches that have then been able to recruit more volunteers and secure more donations. The documentary has also allowed REC to show any inmate’s family or interested party one of the programs that they have completed. The New Day REC documentary is being shown in several places throughout the state of Indiana and will be utilized in 2019 as the organization’s number one advertising tool.
